To reach the start of the Ferrata delle Aquile in Paganella:
1. Reach Paganella Peak
Conveniently take the Paganella ski lifts - CHECK THE SUMMER OPENING TIMES OF THE PAGANELLA SKI LIFTS
- From Andalo: two sections of ski lifts with the Andalo-Doss Pelà telecabina, walk 500 m and take the Albi de Mez - Paganella Peak chair lift
- From Fai della Paganella 3 chairlift stretches Santel-Meriz, Meriz-Selletta and Selletta-Peak. Please note, it is usually possible to reach the peak from the Fai side from mid-July to the end of August
- You can also choose to go to the peak on foot either from Andalo or from Fai della Paganella, or to use the lifts for only a part of the way. Take a look at the challenging hikes for Paganella Peak
2. Go to the start of the Ferrata delle Aquile (Eagles' Ferrata)
Walk along the first stretch of Aquile path (or Path F10 formerly 602). Starting from the arrival point of the ski lift at the top of Paganella, in 45 minutes you will reach the start of the iron road, by passing through the spectacular Canalone Battisti (the start is slightly further on, you will find the information board).
N.B.: the iron road must be covered in one direction only, that is from Canalone Battisti to Trono dell’Aquila and not the other way round!
